Training course on "How to be a better Policy
Advisor", Zagreb, 26-29 February 2008.

ReSPA invites three senior public officials from Bosnia
and Herzegovina to participate in training "How to be a
better policy advisor" which will take place in Zagreb
on February 26-29, 2008.
NISPAcee training course for advisors “How to be a
better policy advisor” is focused on fostering
successful implementation of public administration
reforms in transition countries through the development
of the indigenous policy advisory capacities.
The objective of the training course is to provide the
relevant public officials with an opportunity to begin
the development of their knowledge and skills on public
policy advice design and channels for the delivery to
their government.
This specially designed
training program will help participants to better
prepare themselves for interactions with the government
officials. The training will help them to develop a
product that meets the needs of policy makers and to
provide them with an advice on how to market themselves
and their services to these officials.
TARGET GROUP:
Senior public officials working in the field of public
administration who are engaged in policy advice delivery
to their governments and would like to improve their
skills in this area. The course is designed according to
the needs of those who are beginning or plan to be
involved in policy planning and advice provision to
their governments.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
1. Background education (MA or equivalent degree will be
considered an advantage)
2. Current employment in corresponding central and/or
local government bodies with extent of involvement into
the policy process
3. Previous employment record
4. Basic knowledge in policy processes and policy
analysis
5. Fluency in English
