Award: A full scholarship for a ‘preferred university’ master program (a complete list is available at www.worldbank.org/scholarships) in development studies outside of the applicant’s country of citizenship or residence. Scholarship includes full tuition and fees, a monthly living stipend, round-trip air tickets and travel allowance. Upon completion of the program JJ/WBGSP scholars must return to their home country to apply their new skills to their countries’ social and economic development.
Core Eligibility Criteria:
A national of a World Bank member country eligible to borrow;
Not a dual citizen of an industrialized country;
Holds a Bachelor (or equivalent) degree;
Currently employed in a paid and full time position at time of application;
Have at least 3 years, but no more than 20 years, of recent, full-time, paid employment in home country or another developing country after the Bachelor degree;
Not be a staff or relative of a staff of the World Bank Group.
