The Civil Service Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina is responsible for the recruitment process of civil servants on the request of institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It assists institutions in their human resources policies, organizational development, as well as in the establishment of human resources management information in the institutions of BiH. The Agency ensures training and professional development of civil servants and performs other duties stipulated by The Civil Service Law in the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Agency is managed by the Director who is appointed by The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Director, in accordance to Article 34 of The Civil Service Law, is appointed to the position of secretary on special assignment. The Agency is a legal body, located in Sarajevo.
